Tucked into the turn of the tumbling Vltava river lies the humble neighbourhood of Holesovice. Its industrial past has passed into a residential and business quarter whose calm nature contrasts with the nearby centre (10-minute tram ride). It is right here where Sir Toby’s is located.
Sir Toby’s upholds the finest hostel tradition, with delightful dormitories for sleep satisfaction, and private rooms of all possible sizes and conditions. Tea is for free in our comfortable kitchen, where cooking combines with camaraderie. We offer you internet access, Prague maps, and a laundry, and our young friendly staff can help you with anything you need.
All-you-can-eat breakfast will fill you for a fee and there’s a bar for the evening gossip and glee. Transport tickets are available, as well as lockers, and you can borrow a book from our library while a Sir Toby’s guest. Our historical art-nouveau building is ready to host your European euphoria or your meandering melancholia.
A calm neighbourhood, it should be noted, does not mean devoid of life… Within a 5-minute walk from the hostel, you can find supermarkets, photo-processing stores, a teahouse, a post-office, hairdresser’s, the Prague Markets (where you can get fresh fruit and vegetable, clothes, and much more), butcher’s, baker’s, restaurants, clubs, and whatever else one’s daily (and night:-) life requires. In further neighbourhood you may find large park Stromovka (with in-line, bike rental), botanical garden and popular Prague´s ZOO. Holešovice offers also art galleries (especially DOX) and for clubbers pleasure also some of the most popular music clubs in Prague (Cross, Mecca,…).
Spend a relaxing evening “at home” and in pub at the same time. Located in the cellar, the brick walls and archways in our pub “U kníra” provide a cosy atmosphere for the local bands play regularly and travelling musicians pass through. The over-sized chairs and comfortable couches, stacks of board games, free Wi-Fi and a tearoom-styled alcove serves as the right place to relax, meet other travellers, and share your experiences and stories.
Enjoy 4 different Czech beers, Moravian wines, affordable cocktails, warm drinks and homemade dinners. Open daily from 18:30 with cheap Happy Hour drinks till 20h.
Every morning till noon we recommend an indisputably delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for 100CZK, including freshly made pancakes, scrambled eggs, homemade cereals … Grab your guide book and map and plan your day while enjoying delicious meal and a cup of hot coffee.
